- RPI stands for Rockwell Protocol Interface or something like that. It
- means that the error correction and the compression is not made by the
- modem's hardware, but by the terminal program. The problem is that there
- is almost no program that uses RPI... The prog that came with the modem
- is almost useless. Not to mention if you want to use another OS or
- internet software like trumpet winsock.
